Level Up Information Seminar with AIESEC

On December 21, 2020, AIESEC Nepal and Softwarica College of IT and E-Commerce came together to conduct an information seminar on internships abroad. AIESEC Nepal being one of the leading companies in cross-cultural internships gave the students information on international internships and global volunteer exchanges.

The aim to help students in their internships abroad for wonderful experiences led to this collaboration. AIESEC is an international youth-run, non-profit, non-political, independent organization that is being run by students and higher education graduates. So it’s a students’ organization that works for the betterment of students.

They provide intense, noteworthy, and team-based experiences abroad. With that in mind, the marketing team of AIESEC proposed a virtual/in-person seminar in collaboration with Softwarica College of IT and E-Commerce. It was a one-day, 2-hour event that started at 1:00 PM and ended at 3:00 PM on December 21, 2020. There were more than 40 students present during the event.

The AIESEC Nepal team introduced AIESEC to the students, it’s major functions, and how they operate. Being a student-for-student organization, they also gave students insight into the various aspects of leadership and self-improvement. Besides that, AIESEC members also introduced how abroad internships work via AIESEC. Students got to learn about paid and unpaid internships throughout the globe.

AIESEC Nepal also brought some alumni with them to share their experience on abroad internships. They shared their captured videos and training sessions to show students what they will be doing if they want to go for abroad internships. Students thoroughly enjoyed the seminar and had some interesting questions during the Q&A session.

The students also found the seminar very informative and a lot of them applied to be a member of AIESEC. The session was very interactive and was completed successfully.
